郎世寧（1688—1766），意大利人，原名朱塞佩·伽斯底里奧內，生于米蘭，清康熙帝五十四年（1715）作為天主教耶穌會的修道士來中國傳教，隨即入宮進入如意館，成為宮廷畫家，曾參加圓明園西洋樓的設計工作。郎世寧在中國從事繪畫達50余年，歷任康、雍、乾三朝宮廷畫師。郎世寧作為外籍人士，從小受西方教育的熏陶，郎世寧的到來給清宮廷帶來了西洋繪畫技法，向皇帝和其他宮廷畫家展示了歐洲明暗畫法的魅力，并先后受到康熙帝、雍正帝、乾隆帝的重用。郎世寧可以說是一位藝術上的全才，他的繪畫題材廣泛，涉及人物、肖像、走獸、花鳥、山水等領域，且精雕細刻，受到清皇室的青睞，成為雍正乾隆時期宮廷畫師舉足輕重的代表人物。
Lang shining (1688-1766), an Italian, formerly known as Giuseppe gastirione, was born in Milan. In the fifty fourth year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1715), he came to China as a monk of the Catholic Jesuits to preach. Then he entered the palace and became a palace painter. He once participated in the design of the western building in the Yuanmingyuan. Lang shining has been engaged in painting in China for more than 50 years, and has successively served as a palace painter in the three dynasties of Kang, Yong and Qian. As a foreigner, Lang shining was influenced by western education since his childhood. His arrival brought western painting techniques to the Qing court, showed the charm of European bright and dark painting techniques to the emperor and other court painters, and was successively reused by Emperor Kangxi, Emperor Yongzheng and Emperor Qianlong. Lang shining is an all-round artist. His paintings have a wide range of subjects, including figures, portraits, animals, flowers and birds, landscapes and other fields. He is well carved and favored by the Qing Royal family. He became an important representative figure of the court painters in the period of Yongzheng and Qianlong.
丹頂鶴，又稱仙鶴，是世界珍貴鳥類之一，丹頂鶴已經成為國家一級保護動物。丹頂鶴性情高雅，形態魅力。素以喙、頸、腿“三長”著稱，直立時可達 一米多高。身披潔白羽毛，喉、頰和頸為暗褐色，長而彎曲的黑色飛羽呈弓狀 ，覆蓋在白色尾羽上。裸露的朱紅色頭頂，好似一頂小紅帽，因此得名“丹頂鶴”。
