The silver coin of the Qing Dynasty with a long beard and a dragon was cast by Tianjin Mint in the third year of Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty (1911). At that time, the Qing government wanted to unify the currency system and hired senior overseas technicians to carefully design and manufacture this set of silver coins of the three-year reign of Xuantong. There were six or seven formats, of which long Xulong was one. The trial coinage of the new coins was just successful, which coincided with the Wuchang Uprising, so most of the new silver coins were stillborn, leaving only a small number of sample coins. The long beard dragon is named after the beard specialty of the dragon head on the back. It belongs to the nature of sample. It is valued for its exquisite pattern and rare existence

Introduction to the collection of silver sample coins of dragon and Phoenix one round in large characters made in the 12th year of the Republic of China, picture display and graphic appreciation of this coin; This coin is the legendary "dragon and Phoenix silver coin", which is a famous rare silver coin of the Republic of China. In the 12th year of the Republic of China (1923), it was minted by Tianjin Mint according to the size of "one yuan" in the Jiahe figure on the back of the silver coin
In the middle of the obverse is "twelve chapters", the upper edge is engraved with "made in the 12th year of the Republic of China", the back is Jiahe on both sides, and the word "one yuan" is written vertically in the middle. After the trial coinage of the new coin, because the design of this pattern is the draft of the national emblem of Yuan Shikai during the period of the Beiyang government, it is inevitable that it has feudal imperial color and is too complex to be adopted. There are Ji value characters in the edition, large and small. Because the number of trial coins is very small, it is more precious
The "Twelve chapter pattern" means twelve mascots, namely, the sun, the moon, the stars, the stars, the mountains, the dragons, the Chinese insects, the Zongyi, the algae, the pink rice, the moose, the moose, and the moose. Its connotation is interpreted as: the sun, the moon, the stars, take their presence, the mountains take their town, the moose take their break, and the moose take their discrimination. Virtue is the most comprehensive. In other words, it is suitable for each other, and the meeting is complex. It is intended to be the emblem of the Republic of China, implying the long-term and beautiful national fortune
The design of this coin is special, profound, inclusive, ingenious and exquisite. It is the essence of the silver coin of the Republic of China. The "Twelve chapter pattern" was later adopted by some military supervisors and warlords. Due to the exquisite case and excellent casting, the twelve chapters and dragon and phoenix patterns imply auspiciousness, which are deeply loved by collectors and successful people. They can be called an outstanding representative of the official coinage mechanism silver coins in modern China.
