【藏品簡介】：印章的收藏一直朝著兩個不同的方向伸展。一是藏印，即鑒賞印章篆刻的金石美、邊款詩文的滄桑美、閑情趣語的印文美。另一種玩法是藏石，即鑒賞印章石料的靈透和印紐的雕琢天成，尤以田黃石為貴，溫嫩脂潤，色可奪魂，“溪中凍”、“凝脂霞”即其美譽。而田黃是石中之王，自問世以來一直受到達官貴人、富商巨賈的追捧，“黃金易得，田黃難求”，“一兩田黃三兩金”等民間說法也使田黃的尊貴地位得到凸顯，甚至讓田黃蒙上了一層神秘色彩。其材質溫潤凝膩，在軟質雕刻石中居第一品。明清各朝均被當作貢品獻入皇宮，被雕刻成御用的璽印及藝術擺件。

田黃石，簡稱“田黃”，產于福州市壽山鄉壽山溪兩旁之水稻田底下，呈黃色而得名。是壽山石品種中的珍品。廣義的田黃石指“田坑石”，狹義的田黃石指田坑石中發黃色者。物理性質、工藝美術特征方面，田黃石與壽山石相近，已成為獨立的印章石品種。
Tian Huangshi, referred to as "Tian Huang", is produced under the rice fields on both sides of Shoushan River, Shoushan Township, Fuzhou. It is yellow and gets its name. It is a treasure among Shoushan stone varieties. In a broad sense, tianhuangshi refers to "Tiankeng stone", and in a narrow sense, tianhuangshi refers to the person with yellow hair in Tiankeng stone. In terms of physical properties and arts and crafts characteristics, Tian Huangshi is similar to Shoushan stone and has become an independent variety of seal stone.
田黃石是壽山石系中的瑰寶，素有“萬石中之王”尊號。其色澤溫潤可愛，肌理細密，自明清以來就被印人視為“印石之王”。數百年來田黃石極受藏家至愛，正如俗語所說：“黃金易得，田黃難求”。
早在一千多年前，我國已有人開始采集，到了明清兩代田黃石更是盛名于世。許多達官顯貴，文人雅士競相刻意收集田黃石。相傳清初時期皇帝祭天，神案上都少不了一方上品田黃石。因此，田黃石一直盛名不衰，身價倍增，曾有古話“一兩田黃一兩金”。
