[collection introduction]: Tian Huangshi is a noble collection at any time. Over the past century, the price of Tian Huangshi has only increased without decreasing. Today, after hundreds of years of continuous excavation, Shoushan Tian Huangshi has been completely excavated. Tian Huangshi excavated in previous dynasties, which can be handed down to this day, has become a rare treasure and has entered collection institutions at home and abroad. Those scattered among the people are treasured by collectors. Therefore, nowadays, ordinary people can only occasionally see the mysterious face of Tian Huang in the auction house.
Tian Huangshi, known as the "emperor of stones", is produced in Shoushan Township, Fuzhou. It is named for its yellow color under the rice fields on both sides of the "Shoushan River". The reason for the formation of tianhuangshi is that the primary ore on the mountain is stripped from the deposit due to external force and scattered on the basic rock stratum by the stream. After the rolling baptism of the stream, it is covered by the sandy soil layer. Over time, the ore is gradually colored under the influence of surrounding water, soil, temperature, pressure, various trace elements and pH, forming the characteristics of stone skin, radish pattern and red lattice. The origin of Tianhuang is only SHANGBAN, Zhongban and Xiaban in the paddy field along Shoushan river. The output is very small, and there is no ore vein to be found. It can only be excavated randomly in the field, and the chance of obtaining good stone is also very large. Therefore, it is often said in the literature that Tianhuang stone is "simple without root" and "no vein to be found".
The discovery of Tian Huangshi had a short history and didn't attract the attention of local celebrities until the end of the Ming Dynasty. According to Shi Hongbao's min miscellany records, "at the end of the Ming Dynasty, there were people who carried grain into the city, pressed one side with Yellowstone, and Cao Jie Han appreciated it in public view, so he was in time." The discovery of Tian Huangshi did not receive people's attention for a long time. It did not become invaluable until the Qing Dynasty. It is said that Emperor Qianlong dreamed that the Jade Emperor gave him Tian Huangshi and wrote the words "Fu, Shou and Tian". A Fujian minister told him that the Tian Huangshi produced in Shoushan, Fuzhou must be given to the emperor by the Jade Emperor, because this is exactly the word "Fu Shou Tian" given by the Jade Emperor. Emperor Qianlong was very happy and thought it was indeed a gift from God. From then on, he offered Tian Huangshi in the center of the sacrificial table during the great ceremony of offering sacrifices to heaven. Emperor Qianlong collected a large number of Tian Huangshi, which was mostly used to govern with seals. The famous seals of "sanxitang" and "Changchun bookstore", as well as the "unique and unique" white square seal engraved with a piece of Tian Huangshi, "Lotte" Zhu Wenyuan seal and "Qianlong Chenhan" Zhu Wenfang seal are all seals made by Emperor Qianlong with Tian Huangshi. They are now collected in the Beijing Palace Museum. As a result, the government and the public bought the seal made of Tian Huangshi. The value of Tian Huangshi was out of control. Zheng Luoying's Untitled poem can prove that "there is no city price, this stone is named Tianhuang".
At that time, the value of Tianhuang was compared with gold. The so-called "gold is easy to get, Tianhuang is difficult to find". By the end of the Qing Dynasty, the price of ordinary Tian Huang had risen to "three times that of gold". Shi Shuqing's "chapter of Tian Huang, Prince Qingyi" said: "Tian stone is produced in the field, has no veins to find, and is in a natural block. It is deposited at the bottom of the field, which is extremely difficult to excavate. Most of it is accidentally discovered by local farmers when digging the field. Those who get it are regarded as the most precious treasure, so they are rare and precious. Today, the field has a long history, the gold has a price, and Tian Huang can be priceless". It can be seen that tianhuangshi is extremely difficult to mine, which is one of the reasons why tianhuangshi is rare.
