軍政府造四川銅幣是辛亥革命時期的產(chǎn)物。新的四川軍政府成立之初即面臨著需用日繁、度支日絀的財政困窘局面。軍政府迅速接管了四川成都造幣廠，決定鑄造四川銅幣以應(yīng)急。民國元年4月，四川成都造幣廠奉軍政府之令，更換前清龍紋銅元舊模，雕版民國銅元新款。正式開鑄軍政府造四川銅幣”，開模鑄造“軍政府造四川銅幣”(也稱“漢”字銅元)。
其鑄造歷史：篆書“漢”字四川銅幣有五文、十文、二十文、五十文、一百文五種面值，其中一百文幣極為罕見。二十文、五十文幣鑄造數(shù)量較多。十文幣鑄造量大。由此可見，一百文之銅幣是世間難得的精品，極為罕見。
以“漢”字圖案:“漢”字底有數(shù)十條橫直紋，因而錢幣收藏者也稱之為“漢”字銅元。“漢”字圓圈外還環(huán)繞有18個小圓圈，代表當(dāng)時的十八個省份。把18個小圓圈圍繞著“漢”字聯(lián)成一體，寓意十八省人民團(tuán)結(jié)起來共同為“驅(qū)逐韃虜，恢復(fù)中華”而戰(zhàn)斗。
收藏的前景：錢幣存世量稀少，銅板鑄造時間不長，前后僅流通了50多年，極具收藏價值和經(jīng)濟(jì)價值。
