民國十六年北伐戰爭勝利，國民政府定都南京，南京造幣廠先取原模，重鑄孫中山開國紀念幣，后又改動幣背面的英文和花邊（六角星），鑄成新版，俗稱“小頭”,正面刻孫中山半身像，上緣為“中華民國”，背面為嘉禾圖圍繞“壹圓”二字，有民國十五年、十六年、十八年及陵墓、地球、無年號、嘉禾等版別。其中孫中山陵墓幣鑄于1927年，南京國民政府為紀念建造中山陵，鑄造陵墓紀念銀幣和紀念銅牌。據傳該幣僅鑄480枚，分贈黨政要員和護送靈柩人員。
