【藏品簡介】：此品為大明元寶四十八兩。大明元寶”為明代所鑄。大明元寶兩端呈圓孤形并向上隆起，高翹如船狀，整個呈馬蹄形，其面有三行楷書銘文：左為“丁丑年造”，右為“四十八兩”，中間是四個楷書大字“大明元寶”，“寶”字中部寫法從二“王”均是陽文。經實測，形制比較標準，造型統一，表面凹陷，錠面隱約可見澆鑄冷卻后形成的水波紋，底坐略有凸凹呈蜂窩狀。
