廣東省造雙龍壽字光緒元寶一枚，此幣鑄于光緒三十一年(1905)初，為紀念慈禧七十壽辰而鑄(一說是光緒二十年鑄)。張炯伯在《廣東省造銀幣》一文中寫道:"惟本品因未紀年，殊難遽斷，然觀其圖案，諧作福壽，環繞雙龍，幕無英文，意含頌祝，大異常制。由此以推，成為紀念幣之一種，專鑄以祝慈禧太后七旬萬壽者也。"
光緒元寶是清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由湖北兩廣總督張之洞率先引進英國鑄幣機器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫省名。

The Guangxu ingot was one of the currencies circulating during the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty.Zhang Zhidong, governor of Hubei and Guangdong, took the lead in introducing British coin machines to cast silver and copper yuan, after which the provinces imitated it.A total of 19 provincial bureaus cast, in addition to the central household department, local provinces cast copper yuan, are engraved on the front edge of the provincial name.
銀幣光緒元寶1898年--1907發行，正常成色為89%-90%。正面鑄有銘文，頂部鑄楷體"XX省造"或"造幣總廠"，底部鑄貨幣價值如:"庫平壹兩"，幣中心為滿文"光緒元寶"。"廣東雙龍壽字銀幣"在中國近代官鑄機制銀幣中的獨特地位是毋庸置疑的，其珍罕性和極高的收藏價值是泉界所一致公認的。光緒元寶中，珍稀度最高的就是廣東省造的雙龍壽字幣:庫平重一兩，值得收藏。
