程大凝，原平人，畢業于忻州師范學院和山西大學藝術系，曾在原平市文化館與忻州市群眾藝術館等單位工作，退休于市政府辦公廳，又特聘為忻州師院書法教授。四歲（三周）隨爺爺父親學習詩書畫，七歲入學正式拜師于本村老秀才語文老師，每日臨貼百余字。后又就讀于忻州師范學院和山西大學藝術系，受全省和全國著名書法家姚奠中、段體禮、李孝慈老師書法課的講授與課外輔導，四十多年在工作中刻臘版上千張，在膠片上書寫4毫米戲劇唱詞字幕60部近60萬字，書寫展覽的說明及前言近百個，又上萬字；書寫會標及刷寫墻體標語千余條，書寫對聯上萬幅、整日與寫字打交道，一生作文書信都是用毛筆書寫。退休后又在中書協展覽中心培訓3次，而且每日臨貼創作、授課培訓不少于12小時，一生臨貼300余本，少則兩三次，多則上百次，現能熟練書寫18種書體，有3種書體已獲得國家專利。退休后，參加全國書法大賽獲特等獎、金獎等300多次；獲中宣部、人民日報社、外交部、文化部、中國文聯、中國書協、中國美協、香港中國書法家協會等百余家單位的榮譽證書近300余本：
