田黃石，簡稱“田黃”，因產于福州市壽山鄉“壽山溪”兩旁之水稻田底下、呈黃色而得名，為壽山石中最優良的品種之一。它有廣義的和狹義的之分：廣義的田黃石指“田坑石”，狹義的田黃石指田坑石中之發黃色者。在物理性質、工藝美術特征等方面，田黃石與壽山石基本相同或相近，但因其珍稀和昂貴，故早已成為獨立的印章石品種。
