一、有暗記。銀幣絕大多數(shù)沒有暗記，而汽車銀幣在圖案的草地中隱藏著由草葉構(gòu)成的“西成”兩字暗記。這是周西成的高明之處，既作了暗記，又通過這種方式使自己“名留后世”。“西成”暗記：暗記設(shè)在汽車下部的草地上，仔細(xì)觀察青草排列，自右向左，有“西成”兩個(gè)大字：“西”字在右面，由七根青草組成；“成”字在左面，由七根青草組成。

二、它的汽車圖案。貴州的第一輛汽車，是周西成從香港購來的美國福特牌敞篷汽車。由于貴州沒有公路，這輛汽車是拆散后，人挑馬馱運(yùn)入的。銀幣上的汽車圖案即以此車為原形。用汽車作銀幣圖案，是近代銀幣中絕無僅有的，它與光緒龍、大清龍以及以人物為圖案的近代銀幣相比，確是獨(dú)出新裁而很受時(shí)人喜歡。

三、使用了兩種貨幣單位。即采用貨幣“圓”單位，又使用已經(jīng)廢止了的清末貨幣單位“七錢二分”，這在民國銀幣中是僅見的現(xiàn)象。這種不倫不類造幣風(fēng)格也反映了周西成雖頗有進(jìn)取心，但依然帶有深刻的封建烙印。
3. Two monetary units are used.
