民國初期，南方各省響應孫中山廣州國民革命政府參與針對軍閥的北伐，福建、廣西、貴州等省跟著廣東省一起鑄造了中華民國二毫銀幣。而廣東省則從民國元年就開始鑄造了廣東省造中華民國元年一毫銀幣和二毫銀幣，并且連續從元年到十三年鑄造了十一個年份，除了五年和六年之外，都有鑄造。民國銀元是近代中國錢幣中的精品，有著歷史熏陶，是價值很高的革命文物。

此藏品為廣東省造中華民國九年貳毫銀幣，錢幣正反面皆以珠圈將幣面分為兩部分，珠圈內鑄刻楷書“貳毫銀幣”字樣，上下右左分列其中，字體端莊工整，正中央有凸起圓點。珠圈外上端鑄刻“中華民國九年”六字，左右以小花飾之，雅致活潑，下端鑄“廣東省造”四字，字跡清晰，挺拔秀美。錢幣背面同樣珠圈內鑄刻阿拉伯數字“20”紀值，珠圈外上端鐫刻“廣東省”英文字樣，左右同正面相同刻小花飾之，下端鑄有英文幣值，此件藏品品相完好，形制規整，質地優良，字體筆法流暢，紋飾刻制工細。此種小面額銀幣存世量稀少。
This collection is made in Guangdong Province in the ninth year of the Republic of China. The coin face is divided into two parts by bead circles on the front and back. The font is dignified and neat, and there is a raised dot in the center. The six characters of "the ninth year of the Republic of China" are cast on the upper end of the bead circle, decorated with small flowers on the left and right, elegant and lively, and the four characters of "made in Guangdong Province" are cast on the lower end, with clear, straight and beautiful handwriting. On the back of the coin, the Arabic numeral "20" is engraved in the bead circle. The English word "Guangdong Province" is engraved on the upper end of the bead circle. The left and right sides are the same as the front face, and the small flower decoration is engraved. The lower end is casted with English currency value. This collection is intact, regular in shape, excellent in texture, smooth in font and writing, and fine in pattern carving. Such small denominations are rare in the world.
