【藏品簡介】：“咸豐”是清文宗的年號，咸豐年間正值太平天國革命運動的高潮時期。此時民怨沸騰，清政府為了茍延殘喘，在錢幣鑄行上大做文章，將財政危機轉嫁到老百姓身上。相繼推出“咸豐通寶”、“咸豐重寶”、“咸豐元寶”三種古幣。在歷代錢幣中，咸豐重寶的身份極為尊貴，它的錢體本身就具有較厚重的質感，再加上幣面書法筆力的挺拔秀美，雕刻細膩的工筆，銅光閃閃的大字，古生古韻的包漿，就連細節處都是精雕細琢、幾乎完美，彰顯出自身獨樹一幟的貴族氣貌，歷史價值極高。

Three kinds of ancient coins, Xianfeng Tongbao, Xianfeng chongbao and Xianfeng Yuanbao, were successively introduced. Among all the coins of the past dynasties, Xianfeng chongbao has a very noble status. Its coin body has a thick texture. In addition, the calligraphy on the coin face is straight and beautiful, the fine carving, the big characters with glittering copper, the ancient paste, and even the details are carefully carved and almost perfect, showing its own unique aristocratic appearance and high historical value.

這件咸豐重寶當十是圓形方孔銅質錢幣，為難得一見的珍品古錢。正面鑄有楷書“咸豐重寶”四字，從上而下而右而左直讀，錢背上下寫有漢文“當十”二字標明幣值，左右用滿文寫有錢局的名稱。正面圓形方孔的銅幣，其形狀外發天，內地法，取義精宏。觀其圖，造型圓潤端莊，字跡清晰深俊，包漿渾厚溫潤。此種銅錢幣十分精美，字跡清晰深俊，銅材優良，錢文精美，沒一絲一毫拖泥帶水，比同版常流通的錢幣略大、厚重，類屬稀有罕見之物。
