光緒元寶，清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由兩廣總督張之洞率先引進英國鑄幣機器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫省名。最早是有當時的兩廣總督張之洞在英國引進造幣機鑄造的。光緒元寶是大清光緒年流通大面值貨幣之首，是我國首批引進海外技術的印發流通貨幣，對于現今也蘊藏了一定歷史意義。

此銅幣為1904年左右“山東”光緒元寶十文銅幣一枚，雖然經歷了歲月的洗禮和歷史的沉淀，但如今依然保存較為完好；它在燈光下散發出一種淡淡的銀光，仿佛帶著一股王者的貴氣。藏品正面鑄有銘文，頂部鑄楷體“山東省造”四字，底部鑄貨幣價值：“每元當制錢十文”，中心直讀“光緒元寶”四字，幣中心為滿文，外圈兩側各有一朵五角梅花紋裝飾。“山東”梅花星又稱“山東米字星”，因歷史原因，具好品相的銅幣稀少，故此幣尤為難得。山東銅圓名譽品，少見，極美品，極具收藏價值。
