1911年10月辛亥革命爆發(fā)，12月四川成立大漢四川軍政府，四川軍政府接管了設(shè)在成都的四川造幣分廠。為滿足軍需和保路運(yùn)動(dòng)的需要，廢除了前清龍模銀銅幣，新創(chuàng)四川銀、銅幣模型，質(zhì)量較好，一般都是用紫銅。而四川銅幣軍政府是由四川銅元錢幣演變過來的；就于1912年起，由四川造幣廠正式開鑄四川軍政府“漢”字銀、銅元。

與孫像開國(guó)紀(jì)念幣和袁像銀元比起來，軍政府造四川銅幣流通范圍較窄，發(fā)行量與存世量自然無法與前二者相比。由于這個(gè)原因，接觸川洋的人比較少，研究者更少。但這并不表示川洋的研究?jī)r(jià)值和市場(chǎng)價(jià)值不高，向來經(jīng)濟(jì)規(guī)律和收藏首要以“物以稀為貴”定律為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。作為特殊歷史時(shí)期、地方政權(quán)的特殊貨幣，軍政府貨幣具有軍用貨幣和民用貨幣的雙重職能，是歷史的產(chǎn)物，具有不可替代的文物價(jià)值，是歷史的見證。

此枚軍政府造四川銅幣當(dāng)制錢十文；該幣正面中書“四川銅幣”四字，中心作海棠花一小朵，上邊為“軍政府造”四字，下邊為“當(dāng)制錢十文”五字；背面用十八小圈繞一大圈，圈內(nèi)為篆文“漢”字，代表新政府“大漢”，以直線紋為底，上鑄“中華民國(guó)元年”字樣。藏品保存較好，其色澤自然，包漿濃厚，有輕微銹色，文字圖案都顯得自然細(xì)膩，深淺合適。據(jù)有關(guān)資料，四川軍政府銅幣，因其鑄主眾多，鑄期較短，所存世之幣不多，具有一定的收藏價(jià)值和歷史意義。
