【藏品簡介】：清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由兩廣總督張之洞率先引進英國鑄幣機器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫省名。光緒元寶是大清光緒年流通大面值貨幣之首，是我國首批引進海外技術的印發流通貨幣，對于現今也蘊藏了一定歷史意義.

光緒元寶分為銅元和銀元兩種，一直是我國錢幣珍藏界內頗受關注的品種。光緒元寶中，價值高的就是廣東省造光緒元寶雙龍壽字幣:庫平重一兩，這是慈禧太后60大壽時鑄造的，分為庫平七錢二，和庫平一兩，共發行6000枚，其中，庫平一兩不到十分之一的數目。

銀幣正面珠圈內鐫漢文“光緒元寶”四字，珠圈外上端鐫漢文“廣東省造”四字，左右兩側各鐫有一蝙蝠圖案，下端鐫漢文“庫平重壹兩”五個字。銀幣背面：珠圈內鑄一圓形“壽”字，珠圈外鑄雙龍戲珠圖案。其包漿入骨，熟舊自然，深打字口清楚，流通痕跡明顯，邊齒過關，龍鱗清晰，具有極高的投資價值和收藏價值。它有著歷史熏陶，是價值很高的革命文物，具有深遠的歷史紀念意義；同時還是考古和研究中國歷史文化難得的實物。極具收藏價值。
