【藏品簡介】：佛是印度梵語的音譯簡稱，全稱有“佛陀”、“浮屠”、“佛圖”等名稱，意譯為“覺者”或“智者”，是圓滿覺悟諸法事理、了了分明、究竟無余的一切智人。釋迦牟尼佛，佛教開啟者。誕生于公元前566年。釋迦是一個種族名，牟尼是圣人的意思。相傳他是古印度北部迦毗羅衛(wèi)國，現(xiàn)為尼泊爾境內(nèi)，凈飯王的兒子。他從小善于思考，雖然自己過著舒適的生活，但有感于現(xiàn)實(shí)人生中的生，老，病，死等種種現(xiàn)象，認(rèn)為要拯救人類，只有通過出家修行，才能找到解脫苦難的道路。他29歲那年，進(jìn)入森林，去尋找解脫苦難的真理，經(jīng)過六年含辛茹苦修行，到了35歲，終于在菩提樹下修煉成功，創(chuàng)立了能使眾生脫離苦海的佛教，成為佛教的創(chuàng)始人。后歷盡45年的傳教活動，在眾弟子的哀涕聲中安然進(jìn)入了大般涅槃，終年八十歲。
