【藏品簡介】：清政府欲將鑄幣權收歸中央以統(tǒng)一幣制，于光緒二十九年(1903年)決定由時任直隸總督兼北洋大臣的袁世凱負責在天津籌建國家造幣廠“鑄造銀錢總局”，由徐世昌總領籌建事宜。1905年更名為“戶部造幣總廠”。1906年，北洋銀元局(又稱天津機器局鑄錢局)并入戶部造幣總廠。1908年戶部更名為度支部，戶部造幣總廠隨之更名為度支部造幣總廠。天津造幣總廠鑄造于1908年正式鑄行了光緒年造造幣總廠光緒元寶庫平七錢二分銀幣，該銀幣鑄造精良、幣重和成色標準，投放市面流通后深受歡迎。銀幣正面中央珠圈內鐫滿漢文“光緒元寶”四字，珠圈外上鐫漢文“造幣總廠”四字，下鐫漢文幣值“庫平七錢二分”。銀幣背面中央珠圈內鐫蟠龍圖，珠圈外上端鐫漢文“光緒年造”，左右和下端環(huán)鐫英文“TAI-CHING TI-KUO SILVER COIN.”，中文譯為“大清帝國銀幣”。

In 1908, the Guangxu Yuanbao Kuping seven dime silver coin was officially cast by Tianjin mint. The silver coin was well cast, with standard weight and fineness. It was very popular after it was put into circulation. On the obverse side of the coin, the central bead circle is engraved with the Chinese character "Guangxu Yuanbao", on the outside of the bead circle is engraved with the Chinese character "minting General Factory", and on the bottom is engraved with the Chinese character "Kuping Qiqian Dichen". On the back of the coin, the central bead circle is engraved with the picture of Panlong, the upper end of the bead circle is engraved with the Chinese word "made in Guangxu", and the left, right and lower ring is engraved with the English word "Tai-ching ti-kuo silver coin.".
