[collection appreciation]: when making Sun Yat Sen Yiyuan in Gansu Province in the 17th year of the Republic of China, we need to know that there was no silver coin foundry in Gansu Province before the Republic of China. Until August of the 15th year of the Republic of China (1926), Longnan garrison envoy Kong Fanjin was expelled from Tianshui by Liu Yufen of the national revolutionary army. Liu Yufen transported Kong Fanjin's copper coin Mint equipment in Tianshui to Lanzhou, Gansu Mint was set up to cast "yuan Datou" silver. After the victory of the northern expedition in 1927 and the replacement of the Northern Warlords by the Kuomintang government, the Ministry of finance of the Kuomintang government ordered that the issue of Yuan Shikai, the general leader of the northern warlords, should be stopped and the new type of Sun Yat Sen's silver coins should be coined. At that time, the Gansu Mint began to make the Gansu version of Sun Yat Sen's silver coins in 1928.
Strictly speaking, this coin should be included in the "commemorative coin" series. At the same time, the Gansu version of Sun Yat Sen, which has really entered the circulation field, has few silver coins. At present, it is extremely difficult to find in the antique market. Even if it is found occasionally, the price is not cheap. From the perspective of investment, the silver dollar of high-quality goods is still on the rise as a whole. Whoever invests first will get high returns.
In 1928, after the Gansu Mint started to work, it produced a kind of silver coin like the father of the nation. On the front of the coin was the portrait of Sun Yat Sen, which read "the 17th year of the Republic of China"; On the back of the coin is the emblem of blue sky and white sun, with the inscription "made in Gansu Province" on the top, and the denomination "one yuan" on the left and right. Manchu is engraved on the bottom, and Manchu is engraved on the coin, which is the only phenomenon in the silver coin of the Republic of China. The weight and size of the coin are the same as that of the standard "yuan Datou", with a fineness of 88%. The amount of production is unknown, but most of them were taken away by sun Lianzhong, the national army of Feng Yuxiang, when he went down to the East. They were not circulated in Gansu Province, and rarely survived
