道光通寶鑄于清宣宗道光年間(1821-1850年)。錢文“道光通寶”四字以楷書書寫．從上而下而右而左直讀，錢背是記有寶局二十名的滿文。道光通寶形制特點基本與嘉慶錢相同，所不同者只是新疆際克蘇、庫車因缺少黃銅而開始鑄折五當十升值平錢，這是清代虛值大錢的濫觴。
Daoguang Tongbao was cast in the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Qing Dynasty (1821-1850). The four characters of "Daoguang Tongbao" in Qian's script are written in regular script. They are read directly from top to bottom, right to left. Qian's back is a Manchu script with 20 names of Baoju. Daoguang Tongbao is basically the same as Jiaqing coin in shape, but the difference is that jikesu and Kuche in Xinjiang began to cast five when ten appreciation flat coin due to the lack of brass, which is the origin of the empty money in Qing Dynasty.
道光通寶是我國古代錢幣之一.鑄于清宣宗道光年間。錢文“道光通寶”四字以楷書書寫,從上而下而右而左直讀,背滿文記局名。道光通寶只少數錢背有星月文以及地、記年、記直的漢字,但卻不多見。一枚小小的道光通寶錢,蘊藏著豐富的歷史元素。
