【藏品簡介】：明代宣德皇帝在位時，為滿足玩賞香爐的嗜好，特下令從暹邏國進口一批紅銅，責成宮廷御匠呂震和工部侍郎吳邦佐，參照皇府內藏的柴窯、汝窯、官窯、哥窯、鈞窯、定窯名瓷器的款式，及《宣和博古圖錄》、《考古圖》等史籍，設計和監制香爐。為保證香爐的質量，工藝師挑選了金、銀等幾十種貴重金屬，與紅銅一起經過十多次的精心鑄煉。成品后的銅香爐色澤晶瑩而溫潤，實在是明代工藝品中的珍品，宣德爐的鑄造成功，開了后世銅爐的先河，在很長一段歷史中，宣德爐成為銅香爐的通稱。宣德三年利用這批紅銅開爐共鑄造出三千座香爐，以后再也沒有出品，這些宣德爐都深藏禁宮之內，普通百姓只知其名未見其形。經過數百年的風風雨雨，真正宣德三年鑄造的銅香爐極為罕見。

In order to ensure the quality of the censer, the craftsmen selected dozens of precious metals such as gold, silver and so on. Together with red copper, they have been carefully cast for more than ten times. The finished copper censer is crystal clear and warm in color, which is really a treasure of Ming Dynasty crafts. The successful casting of Xuande censer has opened a precedent for later generations of copper censers. In a long period of history, Xuande censer has become the general name of copper censer. In the third year of Xuande reign, three thousand incense burners were made from this batch of red copper. They were never produced any more. These incense burners were hidden in the Forbidden Palace. Ordinary people only know their names but not their shapes. After hundreds of years of ups and downs, it is extremely rare that the bronze censer was really cast in the third year of Xuande.
