近期朝鮮功勛畫家，現任教于平壤美術綜合大學教育科學研究所副所長李繼燮系列代表作品正式登陸中國，受到國內藝術品收藏家的高度關注，再次掀起國內朝鮮畫收藏熱潮。

“朝鮮畫”的名稱是朝鮮民主主義人民共和國成立后由朝鮮領袖金日成命名，按照傳承脈絡，主要有兩個類別，一類是國畫，第二類是油畫。1954年金日成提出要以朝鮮畫為根本發展朝鮮美術的主體美術建設綱領。傳統的民族繪畫形式為了適應新民主朝鮮的發展建設時代的要求，稱為“朝鮮畫”，從而打開主體美術的道路。 “朝鮮畫”作為代表朝鮮主體美術的典型民族繪畫形式，繼承了先代的傳統模式，但內容和形式等總面貌跟傳統繪畫有著顯著地區別。
"Korean painting" was named after the founding of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea by Korean leader Kim Il Sung. According to the context of inheritance, there are mainly two categories, one is traditional Chinese painting, the second is oil painting. In 1954, Kim Il Sung proposed to take Korean painting as the main art construction program to develop Korean art. In order to adapt to the requirements of the development and construction of new democratic Korea, the traditional form of national painting is called "Korean painting", which opens up the road of main art. As a typical national painting form representing the main art of Korea, "Korean painting" inherits the traditional mode of the previous generation, but its content and form are significantly different from traditional painting.

As a meritorious painter in North Korea, Li Jixie's masterpiece "the cream of love" won the first prize in the national art exhibition, and received congratulations from the great leader, comrade Kim Jong Il. At the same time, his "the truth of the warrior" and "the spring of Tieling" won the second prize of the 50th anniversary exhibition of Pyongyang Comprehensive University of fine arts. 李繼燮至今已有百幅享譽大眾的作品，其中有多幅作品在國家美術展覽會獲得一等獎，他的畫作以風景見長，作品造型精準，氣韻生動，和諧統一，賞心悅目，人物惟妙惟肖，風景更是色彩艷麗、栩栩如生，富有強烈的視覺沖擊力。尤其珍貴的是，他筆下所蘊含的生活氣息、畫中所傾注的藝術情感，以及表現出的超凡脫俗的藝術理念和不被世俗所侵染的創作本色，形成了畫作最鮮明的個性畫風，無論是收藏還是觀賞都是具有極高的價值。
Li Jixie has been awarded the first prize in national art exhibition.
