[collection introduction] according to Zhang jiongbo's silver coins in Guangdong Province in the period of the Republic of China, it is difficult to break the product suddenly because of the lack of a year. However, it can be seen in the pattern, and it is harmonious for longevity. It is surrounded by Shuanglong. The screen is not in English, and it means praising and wishing, and it is a great abnormal system. Thus, it became one of the commemorative coins, and was specially made to wish empress Cixi a long life in seventeen days. " So Zhang thought that the silver coin was coined in the thirty first year of Guangxu (1905) to celebrate the seventy-first birthday of empress Cixi. Since the purpose of the coin was to dedicate the Qing Dynasty to the empress Cixi for a long life, Guangdong Province had not made much money, most of which were dedicated to the Qing Dynasty or to the dignitaries of the then dignified officials, and few people circulated and few genuine products were given.
This coin is a rare two-dimensional coin of Kuping one, which is made in Guangdong Province. The front is: the inscription of Manchu and Guangxu Yuanbao in Chinese is found in the Pearl circle. The upper end of the bead circle is engraved with four characters of "made in Guangdong Province", and the lower end is engraved with five characters of "Kuping heavy one two", and a bat map is engraved on both sides. Back: a round "longevity" word is cast inside the bead circle, and the pattern of double dragon playing beads is cast outside the bead circle. The coin has a distinctive feature, with a bat pattern on both sides of the coin, which implies auspicious meaning. Because the bat's "bat" word is the same as the happy word Fu, and the bat pattern is cast on the coin surface, and the homophony of "bat" and "Fu" is adopted. It is the meaning of "blessing and longevity" by taking meaning corresponding to the word "longevity" on the back. As the above two types of Shouzi Shuanglong coins, Guangdong Province made Guangxu Yuanbao Shou Zi Shuanglong library flat and heavy one two not easy to circulate, so the amount of casting is extremely rare, while the real heavy Treasury seven money two coins are the current circulation currency of the one circle type, its casting volume and the amount of survival are more than one and two coins.
The coin is a variety of silver coins with exquisite workmanship, perfect carving and strong relief feeling among all Chinese Longyang silver coins (including all the silver coins issued abroad). The mirror surface is smooth and smooth, and the familiar lines of the decoration are very clear. Especially, the silver coins of Guangdong Qiqian series are exquisite in casting, with the deep mouth, pattern and sharp edge teeth, which is totally the style of the sample coin made abroad. As a currency for circulation (although not circulating), it is less likely to prevent counterfeiting, and it is incomparable. The surface of the coin is full of paste. Even the laymen who have not studied the silver dollar are also very appreciative. The coin was struck when Guangxu's power reached its peak in 1898. It was only because of the coup of the court that the Emperor Guangxu was put into prison by Cixi before it could not be circulated. This view is also in line with history.
