【藏品簡介】：古錢幣極具觀賞性與歷史價(jià)值，因此古錢幣如同其他古玩一樣被藏家們所青睞。中國最早的機(jī)制洋式銀元為光緒年間的“光緒元寶”，俗稱“龍洋”，因錢幣背面 一般鑄有龍紋而得名。珍稀古錢幣是貨幣歷史的實(shí)物，由于早已不在流通領(lǐng)域，留存下來的亦少之極少，更是歷史的見證。

光緒元寶是大清光緒年流通大面值貨幣之首，也是我國首批引進(jìn)海外技術(shù)的印發(fā)流通貨幣。1887年委托使英大臣在英國訂購全套造幣機(jī)器，并在廣東錢局首鑄機(jī)制銀元和銅元。其后，各省紛紛仿效。湖北省造光緒元寶當(dāng)十，由英國伯明翰造幣廠試鑄，是伯明翰造幣廠代中國試鑄的四款銅幣之一，后在中國大量鑄行，存世不在少數(shù)，但伯明翰試鑄樣幣極為罕見，鑄工精美，保存極佳，是中國銅幣中的珍罕品。
Guangxu Yuanbao was the first currency with large denomination in the reign of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty, and it was also the first currency to introduce overseas technology. In 1887, he commissioned the British minister to order a complete set of mint machines in England, and cast the first machine-made silver and copper coins in Guangdong money Bureau. After that, many provinces followed suit. Guangxu Yuanbao Dangshi, made in Hubei Province, was trial coined by Birmingham Mint in England. It is one of the four copper coins trial coined by Birmingham mint on behalf of China. Later, a large number of them were coined in China, and there are not a few in the world. However, Birmingham trial coinage samples are extremely rare, with exquisite craftsmanship and excellent preservation.
此藏品“湖北省造光緒元寶當(dāng)十”。錢幣正面鑄有銘文，頂部鑄楷體“湖北省造”四字，底部鑄幣值“當(dāng)十”兩字，珠圈內(nèi)鐫“光緒元寶”四字，中心飾一六瓣花。光緒元寶大字磅礴大氣，背面紋路清晰，如刀刻所成，鑄造工藝神乎其技，看上去仿佛是一幅油畫，極其瑰麗，美得動(dòng)人心魄！此款“湖北省造光緒元寶”是古代國家發(fā)布流通的錢幣，制造工藝無須質(zhì)疑，雖然經(jīng)過無情歲月的洗禮，品相稍有磨損，歷史遺留痕跡清晰可見，帶著鮮明的歷史印記，有著歷史熏陶，是不可多得的珍稀之品，具有極高的歷史價(jià)值和收藏價(jià)值。
