Joo Won Tongbao spends money, which belongs to the Five Dynasties and Ten Countries. Joo Won Tongbao imitates Tang Kaiyuan's money. The official script in Qian Wen is deep, wide and detailed. It is cast with gold and exquisite workmanship. The front is "Joo Won Tongbao" and the back is "Fu Hu Luo Han", which is mostly auspicious money cast by later generations. Zhou Shizong was in office for only six years, and Xiande minted coins only for five years after two years. In addition, some Li people were used as medicines and damaged for thousands of years, so the amount of money left in the world is scarce and the collection value is high.
Joo Won Tongbao was first cast in the second year of Xiande, Zhou Shizong (AD 955), and it was the copper coin with the most casting and the best quality in the Five Dynasties. At that time, copper was in short supply, so Zhou Shizong ordered the destruction of Buddha, but it was opposed by Buddhists and Manchuria. However, Chai Rong of Zhou Shizong was so talented that he brought out the story of "giving his life to the tiger". He said: "The Buddha said that life experience is the priority, and harmony is the urgent thing, so that his true body is still there, respecting the world, and still wanting to cut it off. Do you cherish it!" This means that Buddha is beneficial to all living beings. If he lives, his true body can be destroyed in order to save people, why can he not give up the bronze statue? This remark made the opponents speechless and had to obey. As a kind of money for destroying Buddhism, Joo Won Tongbao has had a far-reaching and significant influence on the history of Chinese coins and religious development.
As Tongbao in Joo Won contains the bronze features of Buddha statues, it was recast in the later dynasties to pray for the blessing of Buddha, which was more common in Qing Dynasty and Republic of China, and prevailed in Northeast China. This high relief style of casting money is difficult and expensive, so the amount of casting is very rare.
This piece of Joo Won , with a diameter of 39.4 mm and a weight of 24.83 g, is an extremely rare folk money. Zhou Shizong destroyed Buddha statues and cast money. However, the folk custom of worshiping Buddha and chanting Buddha money is still very popular in the later Zhou Dynasty, among which, Fu Hu Luo Han Qian is one of them. The so-called extremes meet, and the greater the pressure, the greater the Big bounce force. This money is extremely refined, the image is vividly portrayed, and the knife marks are everywhere. It is really a beautiful product. It's hard to imagine using such fine silver to cast such exquisite large-scale money without royal power. It may be used to open the stove or celebrate. Great collection investment value!
