由于他的命運(yùn)曲折，朱見深18歲即位以前由一個比他大十七歲的宮女一直服侍，并產(chǎn)生了深厚的感情，此人就是后來的萬貴妃，這個女人影響到了成化皇帝的一生，因此成化皇帝是歷史上出了名的癡情皇帝。成化一生迷戀比他年長十七歲的萬貴妃，她是他的朋友、情人、母親和保護(hù)者。成化皇帝為了討萬貴妃開心，交派景德鎮(zhèn)的生產(chǎn)大量的瓷器，且要求極為嚴(yán)格。在歷史檔案中雖找不到具體的數(shù)字，但《明史·食貨志》概括性地敘述了當(dāng)時燒造之多：“成化間，遣中官之浮梁景德鎮(zhèn)，燒造御用瓷器，最多且久，費(fèi)不貲。”
