《韓熙載夜宴圖》作者顧閎中,約910年生,980年逝世,五代南唐畫家。江南人。元宗、后主時任畫院待詔。工畫人物,用筆圓勁,間以方筆轉折,設色濃麗,善于描摹神情意態。存世作品有《韓熙載夜宴圖》卷,繪寫南唐中書侍郎韓熙載夜宴,該畫構圖嚴謹,人物造型秀逸生動,線條遒勁流暢,色彩明麗典雅,在技巧和風格上比較完整地體現了五代人物畫的風貌,堪稱中國畫史上的名作。

宋代摹本在南宋時曾被內府收藏,流傳至清代雍乾時期再次被收入宮禁之中。溥儀被逐出故宮時將其攜出,二戰結束后又流入民間。后來被近代繪畫家張大千重金將其買下,珍愛有嘉。后來他將畫帶到香港,以很低的價格轉讓給祖國大陸,使瑰寶得以重歸故宮。

TheSongDynastycopywasoncecollectedbytheinnergovernmentintheSouthernSongDynasty,andwasonceagainbannedbytheImperialPalaceintheYongqianperiodoftheQingDynasty.PuyiwastakenoutoftheForbiddenCitywhenhewasexpelledfromthePalaceMuseum.AftertheendofWorldWarII,Puyireturnedtothepeople.Later,itwasboughtbyZhangDaqian,amodernpainter.Later,hetookthepaintingtoHongKongandtransferredittothemainlandataverylowprice,sothatthetreasurescouldbereturnedtotheForbiddenCity.

因為原作上有幾處剪接的痕跡,可能在流傳的過程中出現了損壞,有人把他重新裝裱時調錯了位置。但這都是猜測,誰也拿不出具體的證據來,無形中就成了一個謎還有就是在兩個場景出現了兩張床的問題。

在構圖上也未顯得不可或缺,它們的作用遠遠不及那些屏風,但為什么還要出現?是否有某種暗示?最有意思的是畫家筆下的兩張床上的被褥都凌亂不堪,而且高高地隆起,這種情形與一般官員家庭整潔有序的生活相去甚遠。還有從時間上看,夜宴發生的季節應該是不冷不熱的五月或十月,這也比較符合南京地區的氣候特征,畫中人物的衣著和韓熙載時不時地手搖蒲扇就很能說明問題,而由此引申出的一個結論就是當時的被褥也不應該很厚重。

事實上從畫面描繪的紅綠兩床被褥來看它們的確顯得非常的輕薄,但高高隆起的輕薄被褥里究竟包裹著什么東西?值得懷疑最后就是《夜宴圖》畫卷世上到底保存有多少的問題。根據史書的記載,有好幾家曾經臨摹過《夜宴圖》,如果能夠把這些圖找出來,和故宮博物院這幅進行比較,上面的許多謎有希望得到揭開。我們只好寄希望更多的《韓熙載夜宴圖》出現了。
