四川省于光緒二十九年（1903）六月在省城（成都）機器局附設成都銀元局內開鑄銅元。次年，又興建銅幣廠，專鑄銅元。四川省鑄造的銅元，按幣面上緣所鑄的紀地文字，可分“四川官局造”和“四川省造”兩大體系。四川當三十銅元屬于后者。

It seems that the mints in other provinces follow the rules when it comes to the face value of copper coins.
