大勢(shì)至菩薩摩訶薩是西方極樂(lè)世界無(wú)上尊佛阿彌陀佛的右脅侍者，又尊稱大精進(jìn)菩薩，與無(wú)上尊佛阿彌陀佛，以及阿彌陀佛的左脅侍觀世音菩薩合稱為“西方三圣”。
大勢(shì)至菩薩能夠使信徒智慧之光，使信徒在人生道路上一帆風(fēng)順，事業(yè)有成，佛光永照，化煞化兇，吉祥如意，使信徒能夠隨佛光道路前進(jìn)，發(fā)揮自我的一切智慧，達(dá)到理想的境界。大勢(shì)至菩薩以獨(dú)特的智慧之光遍照世間眾生，使眾生能解脫血光刀兵之災(zāi)，得無(wú)上之力量，威勢(shì)自在，因此，大勢(shì)至菩薩被認(rèn)為是光明智慧第一，所到之處天地震動(dòng)，保護(hù)眾生，免受邪魔所害。
