In 1932, the Shanghai Central Mint made this five yuan annuity standard currency. The coin has a diameter of 4.5.44mm, a weight of 37.2g and a thickness of 2.93mm. On the front side of the coin is a portrait of Sun Yat Sen on the left side. On the upper ring is the inscription "the 21st year of the Republic of China". On the back of the coin, there are two sailing boats sailing on the sea, and the upper ring is marked with "five yuan gold standard currency". The left side of the sailboat is sunrise and nine awn lines, and the sea surface is three low flying seagulls. The gold standard is the gold standard, and the gold standard is the monetary system based on gold. Under the gold standard, the value of each unit of money is equal to some weight of gold (i.e. the gold content of the currency); when different countries use the gold standard, the exchange rate between countries is determined by the ratio of the gold content of their respective currencies, the average price of gold. The gold standard began to prevail in the mid-19th century.
This coin is well preserved, and its color is natural. Both the text and the pattern are natural and delicate, and the depth is appropriate. Sun Yat Sen's head is even more lifelike. The silver dollar exudes the style of a king and the breath of historical precipitation. The design is novel and the casting is exquisite. All the steel dies were carved by the mint in Philadelphia, USA, and a small number of samples were minted. Subsequently, the US side delivered the steel mould and the sample coin to the government of the Republic of China. Due to the change of the situation, many countries cancelled the gold standard one after another, so the issuance plan of gold standard currency was terminated, and it was not issued in China. The reason why the gold standard currency is famous is because of its historical and rare nature. There are few collectors of this precious coin among the people, which is rare.
