民國十五年（1926）天津造幣廠鑄造。張作霖是北洋軍閥中的奉系首領(lǐng)。民國十三年（1924）九月，第一次直奉戰(zhàn)爭爆發(fā)，直系因馮玉祥發(fā)動北京政變的倒戈而戰(zhàn)敗，奉系軍閥張作霖便開始實際控制北洋政府。當時雖推皖系首領(lǐng)段祺瑞為“臨時執(zhí)政”，但背后實權(quán)掌控者為奉系的張作霖。民國十五年（1926）初，段祺瑞因“三.一八”慘案而遭全國各界討伐，最終在馮玉祥所部的武力逼迫下辭去“臨時執(zhí)政”之職。至此，張作霖便走到政權(quán)的前臺。同年，自稱安國軍總司令。次年六月又自封北洋軍政府陸海軍大元帥，代表中華民國行使總統(tǒng)權(quán)，成為北洋政府最后一個元首。在張作霖執(zhí)掌國家政權(quán)期間，天津造幣廠照例鑄造了多種紀念幣。十五年張作霖像背嘉禾壹元銀幣是其中的一種。此幣制作十分精美，存世稀見，系民國軍閥幣中的珍品，完全未使用。

During Zhang Zuolin's reign in power, the Tianjin Mint made many commemorative coins as usual. The fifteen-year-old statue of Zhang Zuolin is one of the silver coins of Jiahe Yuan. This coin is exquisitely made and rare in the world. It is a treasure of the warlord coins of the Republic of China. It has not been used at all.
此為民國十五年張作霖陸海軍大元帥紀念幣壹圓銀幣，光邊。民國十五年（張作霖）陸海軍大元帥紀念幣，正面圖案為張作霖免冠著絲綢銹花大元帥禮服正面像，頂端為“陸海軍大元帥”六字楷書，背面上部為“中華民國十五年”七字楷書，中心為珠圈內(nèi)的芒日紋圖案，芒日下，嘉禾中有“紀念”二字，下緣部都鑄有英文記值ONE DOLLAR（壹元）。其圖案圓潤凸起，錯落有致，有立體雕塑之感，承載著一個時代的社會背景和文化特色，深受歷史熏陶。
