雞缸杯是明成化斗彩杯之一，飲酒用具，造型為敞口，淺腹，臥足。因杯身以斗彩描繪線雞啄早哺雛，姿態(tài)栩栩如生，輔以牡丹、蘭花、柱石紋，故名。斗彩是明清彩瓷中的名品，成化時(shí)期有著輝煌的成就。“斗彩”以制瓷的工藝方法取名，是將釉上五彩和釉下青花相結(jié)合，形成釉上、釉下彩繪互相爭奇斗艷的藝術(shù)效果。

Because the cup body depicts the chicken pecking and feeding the young early with bucket colors, its posture is lifelike, supplemented by peony, orchid and pillar lines, hence its name. 斗彩雞缸杯，是在直徑約八厘米的撇口臥足碗外壁上，先用青花細(xì)線淡描出紋飾的輪廓線后，上釉入窯經(jīng)1300度左右的高溫?zé)商ンw，再用紅、綠、黃等色填滿預(yù)留的青花紋飾中二次入窯低溫焙燒。外壁以牡丹湖石和蘭草湖石將畫面分成兩組，一組繪雄雞昂首傲視，一雌雞與一小雞在啄食一蜈蚣，另有兩只小雞玩逐，另一組繪一雄雞引頸啼鳴，一雌雞與三小雞啄食一蜈蚣，畫面形象生動，情趣盎然.
