中國(guó)的古錢幣“大泉五十”流傳久遠(yuǎn)，這枚古錢幣是西漢王莽所鑄造。西漢晚期，王莽篡位，建立新朝，先后對(duì)貨幣制度進(jìn)行4次改革，雖然都以失敗告終，卻留下了一批制作精良的錢幣。

本品面文“大泉五十”四字，篆書(shū)書(shū)體，直讀。其字謄寫(xiě)工致有加，字形巨細(xì)適中，整體結(jié)構(gòu)規(guī)范協(xié)調(diào)，筆劃?rùn)M直直立，凸顯莊重端美，書(shū)相威風(fēng)凜凜威風(fēng)凜凜典型，本色書(shū)風(fēng)神韻。本品鑄制十分精整，鑄體較之尺度品更顯料足而厚實(shí)，類折二巨細(xì)。復(fù)觀鑄相，方正圓矩，坦平地章，穿輪更是干清潔凈。其字廓紋飾皆深竣挺秀，鼓凸自然有度，錢文筆劃較為纖細(xì)，清晰可辨，緣接地章渾圓。顯而易見(jiàn)，其鑄相特征典型，鑄制品質(zhì)乃屬優(yōu)等，彰顯了王莽鑄幣精造之特色，正是其時(shí)官爐出品，開(kāi)門鑄相，毫無(wú)疑問(wèn)。
