“尊”是一種盛酒器,在商代前期已經出現,商代后期出現圓尊、弧形尊、方尊、鳥獸尊四大類,而四羊方尊正是其中最具代表性的一例。四羊方尊造型雄奇,肩、腹部與足部作為一體被巧妙地設計成四只卷角羊,各據一隅,在莊靜中突出動感,匠心獨運。整器花紋精麗,線條光潔剛勁。通體以細密云雷紋為地,頸部飾由夔龍紋組成的蕉葉紋與帶狀饕餮紋,肩上飾四條高浮雕式盤龍,羊前身飾長冠鳥紋,圈足飾。
