“尊”是一種盛酒器，在商代前期已經出現，商代后期出現圓尊、弧形尊、方尊、鳥獸尊四大類，而四羊方尊正是其中最具代表性的一例。四羊方尊造型雄奇，肩、腹部與足部作為一體被巧妙地設計成四只卷角羊，各據一隅，在莊靜中突出動感，匠心獨運。整器花紋精麗，線條光潔剛勁。通體以細密云雷紋為地，頸部飾由夔龍紋組成的蕉葉紋與帶狀饕餮紋，肩上飾四條高浮雕式盤龍，羊前身飾長冠鳥紋，圈足飾。
