The predecessor of jiangnan province in the Qing Dynasty was jiangnan province, the southern Zhili of the Ming Dynasty, and its scope was roughly equivalent to Jiangsu Province, Shanghai City and Anhui Province today. In the sixth year of Kangxi (1667), the Qing court withdrew from jiangnan province and divided Jiangsu and Anhui provinces. Nanjing Mint marked the silver coins it minted as "Made in jiangnan province" because there was already a mint in Suzhou that specialized in casting copper coins, and all the copper coins it minted were marked as "Made in Jiangsu Province". To avoid confusion, Nanjing Mint marked its silver coins as "Made in jiangnan province". It is a nominal provincial silver coin in China's currency history. Therefore, the existing amount is very rare at present.
