吉州窯，是漢族傳統制瓷工藝中的珍品，作為江南地區（江西吉安）一座舉世聞名的綜合性瓷窯，它具有濃厚的地方風格與漢民族藝術特色。吉州窯產品精美豐富，尤以黑釉瓷（亦稱天目釉瓷）產品著稱，其獨創的“木葉天目”、“剪紙貼花天目”和“玳瑁天目”飲譽中外。
Jizhou kiln is a treasure in the traditional porcelain making process of Han nationality. 玳瑁釉如星空祥云，猶如當代女性時尚性感服裝。玳瑁釉器的坯體，系用含鐵量較少的瓷土做成；生坯掛鈾，入窯焙燒后掛一次膨脹系數不同的釉，并重燒一次，由于釉層的龜裂、流動、密集、填縫，便在黑色中形成玳瑁狀的斑紋，故稱玳瑁釉。
