The Revolution of 1911 broke out in October, 1911, and in December sichuan established the military government of Sichuan province. The military government of Sichuan province took over the sichuan mint factory located in Chengdu. In order to satisfy the demand of military supply and road protection movement, the silver and copper COINS of the former Qing dragon mold were abolished, and the silver and copper COINS of Sichuan province were newly created. Since 1912, the Silver and copper COINS with "Han" character of Sichuan military government were officially started to be cast by the Sichuan Mint.
There are four characters "Sichuan copper coin" in the central bead circle on the front of the copper coin, which are arranged in the left and right sides. The center of the coin is decorated with hibiscus pattern. The upper edge of the bead circle has four characters "Made by the military government", the lower edge is the words "when making one hundred COINS", indicating the value of the coin, and the left and right sides are decorated with flower stars.
A large circle in the middle of the back of the coin shows the seal character "Han". There are several horizontal and straight lines at the bottom of the character "Han", so coin collectors also call it "Han" copper COINS. There were also 18 small circles around the circle of "Han", representing 18 provinces at that time. The 18 small circles are linked together around the character "Han", implying that the people of the 18 provinces unite to fight for "expel the Manchus and restore China". It bears the distinctive era mark of the revolution of 1911, which witnessed the magnificent history of the Republic of China!
The surface of this coin radiates "cracks" and the cladding has covered the lines, but it is not formed after birth. It has obvious casting defects, when it is wrong version, and the casting defects are rare occurrence of mechanism COINS. Personally think so long (throughout the whole currency), so obvious casting defects, should be counted as wrong version, and the casting defects is mechanism of money is not easy to happen, (official denied the wrong version, only to recognize the defects such as currency, and we are accustomed to this kind of various kinds of defects of currency, money called the wrong version of the currency) let alone during the period of the republic of China. So this sichuan copper coin has a very high collection value.
