嘉慶通寶中國(guó)古代錢(qián)幣之一，鑄于清仁宗嘉慶年間(1796-1820年)。錢(qián)徑2.2-2.6厘米，重2-4克。錢(qián)面文字"嘉慶通寶"以楷書(shū)書(shū)寫(xiě)，從上而下而右而左直讀。錢(qián)背滿(mǎn)文左"寶"，右為滿(mǎn)文鑄造錢(qián)局名，如泉、源、蘇、河、廣等。

清代錢(qián)幣特點(diǎn):一皇帝只用一種年號(hào)錢(qián)，雖鑄量大而形制較簡(jiǎn)單;除個(gè)別例外，所有年號(hào)錢(qián)均稱(chēng)通寶，錢(qián)文:皆為工整楷書(shū)，讀法均對(duì)讀，除個(gè)別例外。
嘉慶通寶小平錢(qián)其直徑23毫米，重4克。錢(qián)體呈暗褐色包漿，銹色得體、自然，質(zhì)地為精質(zhì)黃銅生坑品。嘉慶通寶十分稀貴，制作工藝相當(dāng)精致，極為平整，字口十分清晰。
當(dāng)前，隨著清錢(qián)收藏的持續(xù)走熱，清代各個(gè)年號(hào)的錢(qián)幣價(jià)格都有所上漲。再加上乾隆、嘉慶、道光三錢(qián)有“錢(qián)到家”的美好寓意，收藏群體越來(lái)越多，而市場(chǎng)上能夠遇到的美品卻越來(lái)越少，有非常大的增加空間。仍尤其是此兩枚乾隆通寶、嘉慶通寶，同為五帝錢(qián)之一，存世數(shù)量稀疏，其保藏和增值空間不可限量。
