灑藍釉”,明宣德時景德鎮所創。因它的釉面猶如灑落的藍水滴,故稱“灑藍”;又因透出的白釉地斑像雪花飄灑在藍色的水面,故而又稱“雪花藍”。其工藝上灑藍釉不是簡單的蘸釉,而是采用管子吹上去的。在燒成的白釉器上,以竹管蘸藍釉汁水,吹于器表,形成厚薄不均、深淺不同的斑點,再上一層薄釉高溫燒制而成的。所余白釉地仿佛是飄落的雪花,隱露于藍釉之中。

Because its glaze is like blue water drops, it is called "sprinkling blue"; and because the white glaze ground spots are like snowflakes floating on the blue water surface, it is also called "snow blue". 原因是1435年正月,宣德皇帝染上了不明之癥,很快就駕崩死了,宣宗死后,擲骰的游戲不再流行,之后的皇帝也曾下令燒制過灑藍釉瓷器,不過由于灑藍釉工藝復雜,成功率極低,要投入大量的人力物力,成本太高,所以宣德之后,灑藍釉就停燒了……

傳世的雪花藍釉瓷,多為瓷盤,但據近期于景德鎮官窯出土發現,宣德時期曾于不同形制瓷器上試驗應用此技法,包括盤、高足杯、水仙盆、罐及盤。清雍正時,再興雪花藍釉瓷,反映清世宗對完美品味及唯美古釉的追慕。在位時,世宗命人仿制宋代五大名窯,此罐應屬當時仿明美釉之作。雍正時期,江西景德鎮官窯瓷匠,據清宮所藏古代瓷例,研制仿古名窯之作,盡展其卓技巧藝,此罐就是其中代表。

During the Yongzheng period, according to the ancient porcelain collected by the Qing palace, the porcelain craftsman of Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, developed a famous imitation of the ancient kilns and displayed his excellent skills.
