灑藍釉”，明宣德時景德鎮所創。因它的釉面猶如灑落的藍水滴，故稱“灑藍”；又因透出的白釉地斑像雪花飄灑在藍色的水面，故而又稱“雪花藍”。其工藝上灑藍釉不是簡單的蘸釉，而是采用管子吹上去的。在燒成的白釉器上，以竹管蘸藍釉汁水，吹于器表，形成厚薄不均、深淺不同的斑點，再上一層薄釉高溫燒制而成的。所余白釉地仿佛是飄落的雪花，隱露于藍釉之中。
It was created by Jingdezhen in Xuande of Ming Dynasty. Because its glaze is like blue water drops, it is called "sprinkling blue"; and because the white glaze ground spots are like snowflakes floating on the blue water surface, it is also called "snow blue". The blue glaze is not simply dipped in glaze, but blown up by pipe. On the white glazed ware, the bamboo tube is dipped in the blue glaze juice and blown on the surface to form uneven thickness and different depth spots, and then a layer of thin glaze is fired at high temperature. The rest of the white glaze is like falling snow, hidden in the blue glaze.

原因是1435年正月，宣德皇帝染上了不明之癥，很快就駕崩死了，宣宗死后，擲骰的游戲不再流行，之后的皇帝也曾下令燒制過灑藍釉瓷器，不過由于灑藍釉工藝復雜，成功率極低，要投入大量的人力物力，成本太高，所以宣德之后，灑藍釉就停燒了……

直到清代康熙時期，灑藍釉才又恢復生產。康熙、雍正、乾隆時期的灑藍釉瓷器呈色穩定，做工精細，很多輔以金彩裝飾，也有少量輔以五彩和釉里紅裝飾。
It was not until the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty that the production of blue glaze was resumed. During the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong periods, the blue glazed porcelains were stable in color and fine in workmanship. Many of them were decorated with gold color, and some were decorated with five colors and underglaze red.
清代后期，灑藍釉瓷器的燒造水平有所下降，胎和釉等方面都無法與清早期的器物相比。因此，從收藏的角度講，清代的灑藍釉瓷器還是以康、雍、乾時期的制品為最佳。

傳世的雪花藍釉瓷，多為瓷盤，但據近期于景德鎮官窯出土發現，宣德時期曾于不同形制瓷器上試驗應用此技法，包括盤、高足杯、水仙盆、罐及盤。清雍正時，再興雪花藍釉瓷，反映清世宗對完美品味及唯美古釉的追慕。在位時，世宗命人仿制宋代五大名窯，此罐應屬當時仿明美釉之作。雍正時期，江西景德鎮官窯瓷匠，據清宮所藏古代瓷例，研制仿古名窯之作，盡展其卓技巧藝，此罐就是其中代表。
Most of the snow blue glazed porcelain handed down to the world are porcelain plates. During his reign, Shizong ordered people to imitate the five famous kilns of the Song Dynasty. This jar should be a copy of Ming Dynasty glaze. During the Yongzheng period, according to the ancient porcelain collected by the Qing palace, the porcelain craftsman of Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, developed a famous imitation of the ancient kilns and displayed his excellent skills. This jar is one of the representatives.
