齊白石（1864年1月1日—1957年9月16日），原名純芝，字渭青，號蘭亭，后改名璜，字瀕生，號白石、白石山翁、老萍、餓叟、借山吟館主者、寄萍堂上老人、三百石印富翁，祖籍安徽宿州碭山，生于湖南長沙府湘潭（今湖南湘潭），近現代中國繪畫大師，世界文化名人。
早年曾為木工，后以賣畫為生，五十七歲后定居北京。擅畫花鳥、蟲魚、山水、人物，筆墨雄渾滋潤，色彩濃艷明快，造型簡練生動，意境淳厚樸實。所作魚蝦蟲蟹，天趣橫生。1957年9月16日，齊白石在北京醫院逝世。
Qi Baishi (January 1, 1864 to September 16, 1957), whose original name was Chunzhi, whose name was Weiqing and whose name was Lanting, was later renamed Huang. His name was biansheng. In his early years, he was a carpenter, and later he made a living by selling paintings. He settled in Beijing at the age of 57. He is good at painting flowers and birds, insect fish, mountains and rivers, figures, vigorous and moist ink, rich and bright colors, concise and vivid modeling, and honest and simple artistic conception. The fish, shrimps, insects and crabs are full of natural interest. Qi Baishi died in Beijing hospital on September 16, 1957.
齊白石畫蝦可說是畫壇一絕，靈動活潑，栩栩如生，du神韻充盈，用淡墨擲筆，繪成軀體，浸潤之色，更顯蝦體晶瑩剔透之感。以濃墨豎點為睛，橫寫為腦，落墨成金，筆筆傳神。細筆寫須、爪、大螯，剛柔并濟、凝練傳神，顯示了畫家高妙的書法功力。畫家寫蝦，來自生活，卻超越生活，大膽概括簡化，更得傳神妙筆。齊白石畫蝦表現出了蝦的形態，活潑、靈敏、機警，有生命力。是因為齊白石掌握了蝦的特征，所以畫起來得心應手。寥寥幾筆，用墨色的深淺濃淡，表現出一種動感。一對濃墨眼睛，腦袋中間用一點焦墨，左右二筆淡墨，于是使蝦的頭部變化多端。硬殼透明，由深到淺。而蝦的腰部，一筆一節，連續數筆，形成了蝦腰節奏的由粗漸細。

齊白石用筆的變化，使蝦的腰部呈現各種異態，有躬腰向前的，有直腰游蕩的。也有彎腰爬行的。蝦的尾部也是寥寥幾筆，既有彈力，又有透明感。蝦的一對前爪，由細而粗，數節之間直到兩螯，形似鉗子，有開有合。蝦的觸須用數條淡墨線畫出。取舍：對水中的蝦，為表現出那種透視感，齊白石的線條有虛有實，簡略得宜，似柔實剛，似斷實連，直中有曲，亂小有序，紙上之蝦似在水中嬉戲游動，觸須也像似動非動。
