After the victory of the 1911 Revolution, the Qing emperor abdicated and the Republic of China was founded. Sun Yat Sen, the pioneer of China's democratic revolution, took office as the provisional president of the Republic of China. In his "provisional presidential decree", he proposed that "a new model should be published and commemorative coins should be forged". Subsequently, two mints in Wuchang and Nanjing took the lead in casting copper coins of the founding of the Republic of China, mainly in the denomination of 10 Wen, which were issued in large quantities to replace the copper coins of the Qing Dynasty. This is the origin of the "commemorative coin of the founding of the Republic of China". There is no doubt that the name of this copper coin is very clear, which is "commemorative coin of the founding of the Republic of China". According to the general consensus in the field of coin collection, for a kind of coin, the side that can identify the name of the coin or show the most important characteristics of the coin should be called "face", and the opposite side should be called "back". Therefore, we should distinguish this coin from the copper coin of the previous dynasty, One side of the inscription "commemorative coin of the founding of the Republic of China" is called Mian, and the other side of its corresponding value is called back. In 1914, Tongyuan was officially renamed "copper coin". The biggest difference between the copper coins issued in the Republic of China and the Qing Dynasty was that the dragon pattern was replaced by Jiahe pattern composed of rice ears. Most of the copper coins cast in each province are the flag pattern with two forks and the words "Founding commemorative coin" or "copper coin of the Republic of China". This group of coins, weight: (10.6g/10g, diameter: 32.28mm/32.54mm, thickness: 1.6mm/1.83mm) the central pattern on the front side of the coin is "19 Star iron and blood flag" and "five color national flag", with a tassel belt behind the flag. The two flags symbolize national unity and national unity; the upper part of the front circle is inscribed with the inscription of "made in Hunan Province"; the left and right sides are decorated with chrysanthemum pattern; the lower part is engraved with "20 Wen for coin making" to indicate the currency value. On the back of the coin, Jiahe pattern is composed of rice ears, which means Fengmin is full-year-old; on the top of the reverse, it is engraved with "threepublic of China"; the lower part is engraved with "twin cash". The coin is well preserved and has a perfect coating, which is worthy of being treasured.
