四川省造的背龍光緒元寶又稱四川龍洋，早鑄造于光緒24年（1898年），1899年朝廷下令停鑄，1901年重新開鑄一直到1908年，鑄造量小，值得收藏。在諸多的清龍銀元中，四川龍的各種版別算是比較雜亂的，雖然可能當時鑄幣時因為鑄造人技術或知識的欠缺出現了許多方方面面的謬誤，導致了多批銀元在文字、圖案上的差異，形成了不少無規律的版別。
