頤和園，中國(guó)清朝時(shí)期皇家園林，前身為清漪園，坐落在北京西郊，距城區(qū)十五公里，占地約二百九十公頃，與圓明園毗鄰。它是以昆明湖、萬(wàn)壽山為基址，以杭州西湖為藍(lán)本，汲取江南園林的設(shè)計(jì)手法而建成的一座大型山水園林，也是保存最完整的一座皇家行宮御苑，被譽(yù)為“皇家園林博物館”，也是國(guó)家重點(diǎn)旅游景點(diǎn)。
The summer palace, the imperial garden of the Qing Dynasty in China, formerly known as Qingyi Garden, is located in the western suburb of Beijing, 15km away from the city, covering an area of 290 hectares, adjacent to the Yuanmingyuan Garden. It is a large-scale landscape garden built on the basis of Kunming Lake and Wanshou mountain, based on the West Lake of Hangzhou, and drawing on the design techniques of Jiangnan gardens. It is also the most complete royal palace imperial garden, known as the "Royal Garden Museum", and also a national key tourist attraction.
這枚錢幣是為了紀(jì)念1888年光緒皇帝重建頤和園所發(fā)行的花錢，頤和園在咸豐十年（1860年），被英法聯(lián)軍焚毀。也是希望此園重建后能順順利利，平平安安的傳承下去，只可惜后來(lái)八國(guó)聯(lián)軍又將它毀為一旦，著實(shí)令人感到惋惜。錢幣通體采用金屬鋁鑄造的花錢，在當(dāng)時(shí)還是第一次用金屬鋁鑄造錢幣。在當(dāng)時(shí)清朝末期，電解鋁的技術(shù)還未發(fā)明，所以鋁的材料比黃金還要貴重。當(dāng)年拿破侖發(fā)行的勛章也鋁制的，比黃金還要貴重很多。這枚錢幣采用傳統(tǒng)外圓內(nèi)方錢幣制式，廓款幣厚，整體制式極為規(guī)整，錢幣地章平坦，穿口修整規(guī)范。錢文深峻挺拔，字口俊秀靈動(dòng)，圖案清晰可辨。包漿醇厚潤(rùn)澤，皮殼厚實(shí)自然。同時(shí)也體現(xiàn)滿清皇權(quán)制度在鑄幣領(lǐng)域的權(quán)威，其設(shè)計(jì)制造者不計(jì)成本地進(jìn)行了精美絕倫的設(shè)計(jì)。其藝術(shù)水準(zhǔn)、防偽能力迄今沒(méi)有被超越。
This coin was issued to commemorate the cost of Emperor Guangxu's reconstruction of the summer palace in 1888, which was burnt down by the British and French allied forces in the 10th year of Xianfeng (1860). It is also hoped that after the reconstruction of the park, it will continue smoothly and peacefully, but it is a pity that the Allied forces of the eight countries destroyed it once again. It was the first time that metal aluminum was used to cast coins at that time. In the late Qing Dynasty, the technology of electrolytic aluminum had not been invented, so the material of aluminum was more valuable than gold. Napoleon's medal was also made of aluminum, which was much more valuable than gold. This coin adopts the traditional external and internal coin system. It has a thick outline, a very regular overall system, a flat ground seal, and a standard dressing. Qian Wen is deep and upright, with beautiful words and clear patterns. The coating is mellow and smooth, and the shell is thick and natural. At the same time, it also reflects the authority of the imperial power system in the field of coinage in the Qing Dynasty, and its designers and manufacturers have carried out excellent designs regardless of local conditions. Its artistic level and anti-counterfeiting ability have not been surpassed so far.
