自幼酷愛繪畫，少有所成。
1965年調入海軍機關從事美術工作，1968年拜于著名花鳥畫大師王雪濤為師，接受大師教誨，長期學習體味其構圖的奇趣，用筆的韻味和大師的思想風范。同時拜著名山水畫家白雪石、李穎為師接受指點。并且受著名書法家劉炳森先生的長期熏陶、感染、學習書法藝術。經刻苦學習和多年的實踐，把傳統技法與時代氣息有機結合。作品構圖氣勢宏偉，意境深遠，筆墨飄逸灑脫、敷彩濃重、富麗多彩、生機盎然、在繼承傳統的基礎上不斷實踐和潛心研究，形成自己獨特的風格。許多作品被國家領導人和國外元首及國內外友人收藏。
Since childhood, I have loved painting and achieved little.
In 1965, he was transferred to the navy to work in fine arts. In 1968, he became a teacher of Wang Xuetao, a famous master of flower and bird painting. He accepted the instruction of the master, and learned for a long time the charm of his composition, the charm of his pen and the master's style of thinking. At the same time, he was instructed by the famous landscape painters Bai Xueshi and Li Ying. And by the famous calligrapher Mr. Liu Bingsen's long-term edification, infection, learning calligraphy art. After years of hard study and practice, the traditional techniques and the atmosphere of the times are organically combined. The composition of the work is magnificent, the artistic conception is far-reaching, the pen and ink are free and easy, the color is thick, rich and colorful, and full of vitality. On the basis of inheriting the tradition, the work continues to practice and concentrate on research, forming its own unique style. Many of the works are collected by state leaders, foreign heads of state and friends at home and abroad.
1993年作品《雪月梅》參加在歷史博物館舉辦的紀念毛主席誕辰一百周年中國書畫藝術大展并被收藏；1996年作品《情系故園》參加在軍事博物館舉辦的紀念長征六十周年、迎香港回歸名家大展并被收藏；2000年黨中央前主席華國鋒為作品《前程似錦》，《富貴長春》題簽并收藏；2002年5月名杯全國書畫藝術大展選入作品《萬山紅遍》；2003年《鐵骨含香》、《萬山紅遍》被選編“中國書畫名家大師畫典”。2004年《富貴長春》入選中韓文化交流協會舉辦的“中韓書畫藝術展”。《桃花源》被日中文化促進會選用收藏。2005年應邀在日本名古屋參加日中文化協會中國駐日本大使館舉辦的“中國書畫名家作品展”，《萬山紅遍》、《鐵骨含香》、《櫻花報春早》、《漁家女》、《富貴長春》等作品受到日本官方人士和書畫界朋友的高度評價并收藏等。

His works, such as "Wanshan red", "iron bone with fragrance", "cherry blossom for spring morning", "Fisherman's girl", "rich Changchun", were highly praised and collected by Japanese officials and friends in the field of calligraphy and painting.
