五管瓶,是宋代浙江青瓷中常見的器型,其造型奇特,因腹部伸出五支圓管而得名。 圓口,直頸,肩部為弦紋圓肩,在肩部置五個花口圓管。腹部直微弧,圈足。此器除弦紋外,無紋樣裝飾。釉色中閃灰,釉光溫潤。足底無釉,胎質顯灰,胎體厚重。此器古樸莊重,為東漢時期典型之器物。
Five tube bottle is a common type of celadon in Zhejiang Province in Song Dynasty. It has a unique shape and is named after five round tubes protruding from its abdomen. 五管瓶發源于東漢,歷經三國,西晉、南朝、五代、兩宋、元和清代,期間不斷發展變化,成為獨具特色的中國古代瓷器品種之一。發源于東漢的五聯罐,經過三國、西晉、南朝和五代的發展,宋代達到鼎盛,成為該時代最有代表性的器物之一。宋以前的五管瓶多見墓葬出土,并與盤口瓶和執壺一起出土,是隨葬的明器。元代龍泉五管瓶銷到海外,器物變得小巧而精致,五管瓶有了更多的實用性或陳設性。
Wuguanping originated in the Eastern Han Dynasty and went through three kingdoms, namely, Western Jin, Southern Dynasties, Five Dynasties, two song, yuan and Qing Dynasty. After the development of the Three Kingdoms, the Western Jin, the Southern Dynasties and the Five Dynasties, the five linked pots originated in the Eastern Han Dynasty reached its peak in the Song Dynasty and became one of the most representative artifacts of that era. Before the Song Dynasty, five tube bottles were found in tombs, and they were unearthed together with Pankou bottles and holding pots. 南北朝五管瓶,不見堆塑裝飾,器形簡單,數量稀少。五代五管瓶,周身多刻蓮瓣紋,與佛教盛行有關。也有堆塑,但比較簡單。北宋時期的五管瓶, 瓶身為圓筒式或多級塔式,器腹由豐滿向清秀發展。

五管瓶為古人溝通天地的媒介,多為隨葬的明器,發展至宋到達鼎盛,其作用發展為具有象征意義的陳設用器。

五管瓶五管的含義眾說紛紜:有的認為是寓意五谷豐登,有的說是依據金、木、水、火、土五行,更有人認為是代表仁、義、禮、智、信五德,故又名五德罐。由于同時存在六管、七管、十管等,五管的含義就不會局限于五谷、五行和五德等含義,其實質應該和裝飾有關。多管瓶似乎還有祈求多子多孫的含義。而五管瓶隨葬的功能則較為統一,或是骨灰罐,或為神鬼的糧倉。由于五管瓶是從五角瓶演變而來,浙南方言中“角”與“谷”同音,“五角”通“五谷”,五角瓶即為五谷瓶。

In fact, the essence should be related to decoration. Multi tube bottle seems to have the meaning of praying for more children and more grandchildren. The funerary function of the five bottles is more unified, either the urn or the granary of gods and ghosts. As wuguanping evolved from wujiaoping, the homonym of "Jiao" and "Gu" in southern Zhejiang dialect, "Wujiao" is connected with "Wugu", and wujiaoping is wuguping.
因此,五管瓶功能應該和五角瓶類似,應該是在殯葬中作為神鬼的糧倉用來裝五谷雜糧的。1991年3月,龍泉市蘭巨鄉劍湖村出土的“張氏五娘”銘文五管瓶,其蓋內有墨書“張氏五娘,五谷倉柜,上應天宮,下應地中,蔭子益孫,長命富貴”24字,豎排楷書,充分印證五管瓶的這個功能。它反映了人們既祈福于死者天宮地中之靈,豐衣足食;也祈求死者在天之靈庇蔭子孫吉星高照,官運亨通。

In March 1991, the five tube vase with the inscription of "Zhang's five niangs" was unearthed in Jianhu village, Lanju Township, Longquan City. There are 24 characters in the cover of the vase, which are "Zhang's five niangs, five grain storehouse cabinet, heaven Palace on the top, sun on the ground on the bottom, longevity and wealth". Regular script is arranged vertically to fully verify the function of the five tube vase. It reflects that people not only pray for the spirit of the dead in the heaven and the earth, but also pray for the spirit of the dead in the heaven to protect the shadow of their grandchildren, auspicious stars, and good luck.
