“軍政府造四川銅幣”是辛亥革命時(shí)期的產(chǎn)物。1911年12月發(fā)生“成都兵變”，以尹昌衡、羅綸為正副都督的四川軍政府取代了成立僅12天的大漢四川軍政府。由于在“成都兵變”中，原四川藩庫(kù)、大清銀行、浚川源銀行及各票號(hào)、錢莊、商店皆遭亂兵搶劫一空，新的四川軍政府成立之后即面臨著需用日繁、度支日絀的財(cái)政困窘局面。
"Sichuan copper coins made by the military government" was a product of the 1911 revolution. In December 1911, a "Chengdu mutiny" took place. 其后軍政府迅速接管了四川成都造幣廠，決定鑄造“四川銅幣”以應(yīng)急。民國(guó)元年(1912年)4月，四川成都造幣廠奉四川軍政府之命，開模鑄造“軍政府造四川銅幣”（也稱“漢”字銅元）。

此枚銅幣重18.01g，徑37.2mm，紅銅泛彩，包漿純熟老到。此外，最大特色為“軍政府造”處多了個(gè)“一”字，成了“軍政府造一”。此等錯(cuò)版有別于錯(cuò)位錯(cuò)角度，實(shí)乃罕見，不見有二，疑為孤品！實(shí)為錢幣制造的特例。用十八小圈繞一大圈，圈內(nèi)篆文漢字，以直線紋為底。上邊加“中華民國(guó)元年”字樣，銅幣正面中央珠圈內(nèi)有“四川銅幣”四字，上下左右分列，其中心飾有芙蓉花紋。珠圈上緣書“軍政府造”四字，下緣為“當(dāng)制錢五十文”字樣，，左右飾以花星紋飾。它帶有辛亥革命那一時(shí)期鮮明的時(shí)代印記，見證了那一段波瀾壯闊的民國(guó)歷史！
