民國二十四年十一月實行法幣政策，禁止銀元和舊銅元的流通，民國二十五年 (1936) 一月，頒布《輔幣條例》，規定輔幣有鎳幣和銅幣兩種，銅幣以分為單位，作為法幣的輔幣，結束了以制錢為單位的輔幣制度，使混亂了數十年的幣制逐漸趨于統一。據此民國二十五年製造了一分、半分銅輔幣，正面國民黨黨徽及製造年份，背為中間為古布幣圖案兩側為“壹分”或“半分”的面值；次年繼續制一分銅元，圖案未變，只改年號。另天津造幣廠亦仿制過古布銅元，其中少量試制品上添制有“平”字、“京”字。

此枚中華民國二十五年銅幣壹分，正面中間是國民黨黨徽圖案，上方環寫“中華民國二十五年”字樣；背面中間是古錢“布幣”圖案，兩邊是面額“壹分”字樣，正背兩面沿邊雕回形紋（中國傳統古老圖案寓意吉祥）。銅幣保存較好，錢文、輪廓的清晰程度較好，具有較高的歷史價值、藝術價值和收藏價值。
