近年來，隨著收藏投資熱的不斷升溫，銀元也日漸走俏，且價格一路上揚。尤其是珍品銀元，在藏品交易市場上表現異常活躍。中華民國二十一年孫中山像三鳥帆船壹圓銀幣為銀幣收藏中的珍惜品種之一。該銀幣發行于民國二十一年（１９３２年），俗稱“三鳥幣”。銀幣正面圖案為孫中山文裝側面像，人像上方為“中華民國二十一年”字樣，背面圖案為一艘二桅帆船行于海上，船右方為旭日東升圖案，船上方有三只飛翔的海鳥。原設計用意為象征三民主義引領中國揚帆出航，如旭日升起，前途光輝燦爛。惟前一年剛發生一.二八事變，中日雙方在上海鏖戰月余，后經協議停火，故此原來象征國民黨徽之日出與三鳥被附會為日軍壓境、敵機臨頭，甚至有人把三鳥飛翔說成東三省在九一八事變后“飛離”中國。在市面謠言傳出后當局即修改模具，將旭日與三鳥除去；同時把年份改為“中華民國二十二年”，于5月發行，已制成的“三鳥”銀元回爐重制，以后發行者，俗稱船洋。民國二十一年“三鳥”銀元共生產了226萬枚，除5萬枚流入市面外，其余皆回爐熔毀，現今存世數量極少。

At the same time, the year was changed to "twenty-two years of the Republic of China", which was issued in may. the "three birds" silver coins have been recycled and re-manufactured, and later issued, commonly known as ship ocean. In the 21st year of the Republic of China, 2.26 million pieces of "three birds" silver coins were produced. with the exception of 50,000 pieces that went into the market, the rest were melted down and returned to the furnace. today, the number of silver coins in existence is very small.
