壽星公擺件器型碩大,在材料上為稀有的紫羅蘭用料,整體雕法采用了圓難、透雕、深雕、浮雕與淺浮雕。雙目炯炯有神,精神煥發(fā),充滿了慈祥、喜氣之意;因用料紫羅蘭,加之色澤勻正,似有紫氣東來祥瑞之兆;用淺浮雕和細(xì)雕手法表達(dá)細(xì)絲長髯,寓意子孫如江河細(xì)流萬古流長;壽星右手持龍首權(quán)仗,龍仗身用深雕技法雕刻出蒼勁扎枝龍身造型,顯得靈動非凡;仗首下端運用巧色、透雕和深雕技法,配以巧色葫蘆與壽星袖內(nèi)佩戴佛珠手釧飾,頗有仙人之風(fēng)和禪納之愿;壽星公服佈采用嫻熟的深雕技法,衣袖褶敏顯得飄逸生動。背面 精微細(xì)雕壽星公的發(fā)絲和發(fā)髻與整體服飾和諧顯得端住穩(wěn)重。壽星公擺件從龍首杖修飾手法到頭部發(fā)髻發(fā)絲與服飾配搭上,都有別于清代以后雕琢形式 。依據(jù)看星公的整體型制及雕琢技法, 壽仙公擺件是明代器物。
