黑釉是古代瓷器釉色之一，釉面呈黑色或黑褐色。黑釉主要呈色劑為氧化鐵及少量或微量的錳、鈷、銅、鉻等氧化著色劑。通常所見的赤褐色或暗褐色瓷器，釉料中氧化鐵比例為8%左右，如將釉層加厚到1.5毫米時，燒成的釉色即呈純黑。以鐵為呈色劑，涂層厚約1.5毫米，經氧化焰焙燒，呈純黑色。早期燒制黑釉最成功的首推東晉時期浙江德清窯，所燒黑釉釉面滋潤、光亮，色黑如漆，可與漆器媲美。唐代黑釉較為盛行，宋代則是黑釉的高峰時期。明、清時期御器廠所燒黑釉器做工精細，多在純凈的黑釉上施以各種低溫色彩，黑釉則成為各種美麗顏色的襯托。
Black glaze is one of the glaze colors of ancient porcelain, with black or dark brown glaze.
